To foster educational dialogue and collaboration between Shanghai and Hong Kong, enhance cross-regional exchange on future teacher training, and cultivate professional dedication among pre-service educators, the Faculty of Education at East China Normal University (ECNU) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) jointly hosted a short-term student exchange program from May 19 to 25, 2025 in Shanghai.
Approved by Mainland and Hong Kong & Macao Higher Education Institutions Student and Faculty Exchange Program (known as the "Ten Thousand Talents Plan"), this intensive week-long initiative centered on three pillars:Intelligent Education, Learning Sciencesand Teacher Development.
Leveraging diverse resources, the program supported the cultivation of future educators. A delegation of 11 participants (9 undergraduate students and 2 faculty members) from CUHK engaged in collaborative activities with 24 ECNU students through:3 Keynote Academic Lectures, 2 Educational Institution Visits (on/off campus), 1 Experiential Learning Workshop, 1 Cultural Exploration Activity.The exchange culminated in strengthened academic ties and shared pedagogical insights between the two institutions.
