Following the success of the first and second events oftheAsian Education Doctoral Students Institute (AEDSI) held in 2022 and 2023,theECNU once againcoorganized the 3rd AEDSI in collaboration with the Education University of Hong Kong on December 16–18, 2024. The event attracted 357 participants from 20 countries and regions and 86 renowned domestic and international universities, with 55 doctoral students attending in person inHong Kong this year.

Although AEDSI is focusedprimarilyon Asian students,it attracted many doctoral students from universities in Europe, North America, Oceania, and Africa who participated online across different time zones.

Domestic doctoral studentswerefrom Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, Xiamen University, The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Macau, among others. International doctoral studentswere mostly from the University of Cambridge, University College London, University of Edinburgh, University of Nottingham, Purdue University, Monash University, University of Canberra, University of Auckland, University of Warsaw, National Research University Higher School of Economics in Russia, University of Tokyo, Nanyang Technological University, and Seoul National University.

This event further provided a broad international exchange platform for doctoral students and young scholars in education, continuously supporting the growth ofthe number ofeducation doctoral students in Asia andworldwide.
