Co-organized by the Faculty of Education, East China Normal University and the Faculty of Education and Human Development, The Education University of Hong Kong, the Asian Education Doctoral Student Institute (AEDSI) brings together distinguished scholars, international education experts, and outstanding doctoral students from across the globe.This initiative is dedicated to building a doctoral student-centered academic exchange platform that is:
lAnchored in Shanghai and Hong Kong,
lOriented toward Asia and the global community,
lTailored to the needs of doctoral candidates in education.
AEDSI fosters interdisciplinary dialogue, advances cutting-edge educational research, and cultivates leadership for the future of education in Asia and beyond.
Following the success of the first and second events of the Asian Education Doctoral Students Institute (AEDSI) held in 2022(online) and 2023 (in Shanghai), the ECNU once again co-organized the 3rd AEDSI in collaboration with the Education University of Hong Kong on December 16–18, 2024, The event attracted 357 participants from 20 countries and regions and 86 renowned domestic and international universities, with 55 doctoral students attending in person in Hong Kong.
