On the morning of March 5, a delegation led by Professor Teruyuki FUJITA, Dean of the Graduate School of Education, University of Tsukuba, Japan, visited ECNU. Professor CHEN Shuangye, Executive Associate Dean of the ECNU Faculty of Education, along with other representatives from the Faculty of Education, the Department of Japanese, the College of Teacher Education, and the ECNU International Cooperation and Exchanges Division, participated in the discussions.
Professor FUJITA expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception and highly commended the fruitful achievements of the past collaborations between the two universities. During the meeting, the delegation focused on studying the operational mechanisms of the Doctoral Education (Ed.D.) Program at ECNU, including curriculum system, admission mode, and cultivation goals. Furthermore, a consensus on further deepening cooperation was reached. Both sides agreed to jointly develop a dual-degree graduate program through collaborative efforts between the Faculty of Education at the University of Tsukuba, and the ECNU Faculty of Education and Department of Japanese. The program will integrate the disciplinary advantages of the two universities, fostering an intercultural and interdisciplinary exchange platform to further broaden pathways for cultivating international talent.
