On the 10th anniversary of the Faculty of Education and the 7th anniversary of the establishment of the Global Education Deans' Forum (GEDF), East China Normal University (ECNU), as the initiator and organizer of the Global Education Deans' Forum—comprising over 70 educational institutions from 30 countries and regions across five continents—successfully hosted the 5th forum on November 1–2, 2024 in Shanghai, after having previously hosted the first and second forums in 2018 and 2019. More than 50 deans and representatives from 32 universities and international organizations from 20 countries and regions gathered in Shanghai to focus on major educational issues under the theme "Learning, Leading, Action." Through keynote sharing and thematic discussions, participants exchanged experiences, gathered insights, and built collaborations to find effective solutions to global educational challenges, contributing valuable experiences and inspiration for educational reforms worldwide and promoting the continuous development of global education. During the event, the deans also participated in the establishment ceremony of the Thousand School Alliance for Inclusive Education and the10th Forum of Empirical Education Research, in support of developing ECNU’s education discipline.
On November 4, 29 deans from 25 universities across 14 countries and regions gathered at Lijiang Normal University to share valuable educational development experiences,focusing on international collaboration in teacher education and the global vision of educational development.
