To further strengthen deep andmultidimensional cooperation with top-ranking international universities and contribute to cultivating outstandingtalent in education, the Faculty of Education has expanded the International Academic Exchange Week Program.
This year, five international academic week programs were organized, fostering in-depth academic exchanges and cooperation at the University of Hong Kong,the Chinese University of Hong Kong,theUniversity of Nottingham,theUniversity of Cambridge,theUniversity of Oxford, Keele University,theFree University of Berlin,theUniversity of Washington, Washington State University and other high-level universities from around the world. Fifty-five students and 23 faculty members participated in the programs.
Group One: Academic Exchange Week at Hong Kong
From April 29 to May 4, 2024, the Faculty of Education delegation visited the Faculties of Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the University of Hong Kong (HKU) for a week-long academic exchange. The academic visits focused on the themes of "Educational Futures: Cultivating Future-Ready Teachers and Learners" and "Digital Transformation: Innovating for Future Learning"; 17 faculty members and students fromtheECNU Faculty of Education engaged deeply in these discussions,shared their research findings and ideas, andexplored the potential of artificial intelligence in future education.
Group Two: Academic Exchange Week attheUniversity of Nottingham
Beginning on May 18, 2024, the ECNU Faculty of Education delegation visited the Faculty of Education at the University of Nottingham in the UK for a week-long academic exchange. This event focused on the theme "Empowering Children for Quality Development: Technology, Leadership and Collaboration".Nineteen faculty members and students from the Faculty of Education, including the Departments of Educational Management and Early Childhood Education, engaged in deep exchanges about their research findings and explored academic frontiers.
Group Three: Academic Exchange Week at University of Cambridge and University of Oxford
From July 17 to 27, 2024, the Faculty of Education of ECNU, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge launched a 10-day academic exchange program. The delegation also participated in the 6th Cambridge China Education Forum (CCEF) at the University of Cambridge.Twenty-two faculty members and students fromtheECNU Faculty of Education participated in the event, utilizing the academic platforms atthe UK’s top universities to share their results and exchange ideas. They also gained a deeper understanding of innovative research and practices in the field of education, fostering educational exchange and collaboration with researchers from other countries.
Group Four: Academic Exchange Weekat German Universities
From October 7 to 14, 2024, the Faculty of Education delegation visited the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education (IPN) and Free University of Berlin in Germany for a week of academicexchange visits, focusing on the theme of "Creativity, Didactics, and School Development".Thirteen faculty members and students of ECNU fromtheInstitute of International and Comparative Education, the Department of Education, the Institute of Higher Education Research, and the Department of Early Childhood Education participated in this event. They exchanged their research findings, discussed related academic issues, and strengthenedfriendships, laying the foundation for future education collaborations and exchanges.
Group Five: Academic Exchange Week at U.S. Universities
From October 8 to 18, 2024, the Faculty of Education delegation conducted an international academic exchange with the University of Washington (UW) and Washington State University (WSU) in the United States. The theme of the event was "Cultivating Equitable Education Systems for the 21st Century".Seventeen faculty members and students from various departments of the Faculty of Education successfully completed the academic exchange activities.
