On April 25, 2018, a delegation from the National Defense University, the United States of America, with a total of 15 members led by Professor Bill Mayall and officers from the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, visited the Faculty of Education.
Professor Yang Fuyi, director of the International Affairs Division, Associate Professor Li Mei, from the Institute of Higher Education and graduate student representatives attended the reception.
Professor Yang Fuyi introduced the current background of ECNU and the Faculty of Education. After that, Professor Li Mei delivered a speech titled “The Overview of Higher Education in China”. She elaborated on the background of China’s higher education development, the overall condition of higher education in Shanghai, the higher education system and the development and prospect of it in China. The lectures received applause from the teachers and students, and there were heated discussions within several groups.
