On March 14th and 15th, the delegation from Kyushu University, with a total of 18 members, visited the Faculty of Education, ECNU. The two sides carried out a two-day academic exchange.
On March 14th, Professor Yang Fuyi, director of the International Affairs Division, warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced the overview of disciplinary construction and international cooperation for the two sides in recent years. After that, a heated discussion was arranged. Professor Wu Zunming and Professor Du Chengxian addressed the speeches respectively.
On the morning of March 15th, a seminar was held by Professor Yang Guangfu. Professor Mu Kung from Kyushu University made a keynote speech on “Japan’s Modernization and Education”. In the afternoon, the students from Kyushu University conducted keynote reports on “Japanese Early Education”, “Community-school Cooperation” and “The Comparison Between China and Japan in College Entrance Examinations”. Professsor Wu Zunming also made comments for the presentations and answered some questions raised by the students.
The Education Department, Kyushu University has been carrying out academic exchanges with the Faculty of Education, ECNU, for two consecutive years. Professor Huang Jin， deputy dean of the Faculty and Professor Yang Fuyi extended wishes for future cooperation with the delegation during the latter part of the conference.
