On the afternoon of January 8th, 2018, organized by the Instruction Affairs Division of the Faculty of Education, a seminar on the construction of the postgraduate English-taught curriculum was held in Room 201 of the arts building. The theme of the seminar was to enhance the internationalization of postgraduate education and promote the construction of the postgraduate English-taught curriculum. Huang Jin (Deputy Dean of The Faculty of Education), Bai Yun (Director of Instruction Affairs Division), Zhao Qi (Deputy Director of the Instruction Affairs Division), Yan Guangcai (Director of Institute of Higher Education), Peng Zhengmei (Director of the Institute of International and Comparative Education), Gu Xiaoqing (Director of the Department of Education Information Technology) and other teachers involved in this program were present. The seminar was hosted by Huang Jin.
Firstly, Bai Yun gave a brief introduction of the English-taught curriculum construction program initiated by the Faculty of Education in 2015. Then, teachers shared the achievements made during this period, discussed the current problems and the future plans. Experts, Yan Guangcai, Peng Zhengmei and Gu Xiaoqing, put forward many valuable suggestions on the construction of English-taught curriculum from the perspective of international experience and discipline development.
At present, the Faculty of Education has set up nine postgraduate English-taught courses, which lay a solid foundation for promoting the internationalization of talent cultivation, deepening the reform of the curriculum and teaching as well as improving the curriculum system.
