On May 31, 2016, Professor Hardin Coleman, Dean of Education Institution of Boston University, BU, visited the Faculty of Education to discuss educational cooperation as well as exchanges and other related matters. Prof. Yuan Zhenuo, Director of Faculty of Education, Dr. Yang Fuyi, Director of International Affairs Division, Prof. Zhu Yiming, Vice Dean of National Institutes of Educational Policy Research, and Prof. Li Weisheng, Director of Department of Education and Management attended the meeting.
The two sides held a preliminary discussion regarding the cooperation on joint postgraduate cultivation (focusing on language (English) teaching, STEM education and so on), Joint Symposium and educational research.
The Faculty of Education had held an initial view exchange with Prof. Coleman on talent cultivation, scientific research and exchange programs of teachers and students during the first academic symposium in Washington, DC, in April of 2016. This visit by Professor Coleman would further and deepen the cooperation and agreement reached in the last meeting.
